Lia's 3rd Birthday

It is a little impossible to believe that Lia is three now. She has grown so much, and so fast, and its hard for me to really notice it without looking back at her and how far she's come.

I put together this slideshow of some of the pictures I've taken of her over her little lifetime. The song is Fireflies by Owl City, and it really is Lia's song. Whenever I hear it I think of her.

Lia's Birthday

We had a birthday celebration at my parent's to celebrate Lia turning 3. :-)

Gilroy Gardens

We also went to Gilroy Gardens this summer which was super fun. Sort of a mini Disneyland for kids. :-)

Chris looking excited about standing on the carousel. :)

The scary Balloon ride. When we walked past it, it must have been slowing down because it was going at a very sedate pace. I thought the kids would like it so we hopped on board. Then it proceeded to WHIRL around and lift us off the ground. Sort of like one of those giant swing rides. Scared the bejezzus out of me. The kids didn't seem to mind it though. :)

Wiggles Concert

We also went to a Wiggles concert this summer in San Jose...

Roaring Camp

Also this summer we went on the train at Roaring Camp. It was fun. Probably never do it again. Totally not worth the money. LOL. :-)

Waiting for the train to come!

Redwoods at the top where the trains tops.

They are so cool...

Garden

This past summer Grandma gave us some extra cucumber and zucchini plants for us to plant in the backyard. We chose to forgo the tilling of the soil, and instead bought bags of ready to go soil. :-) Yes, I am a tad ghetto, but oh well.

More SF

This is from the Natural History Museum. I remember thinking it was funny because it looks sort of like the humans are in a display... :-)

We also went to the Japanese Tea Gardens and roamed around for a bit. Got tea and some weird little things that I didn't like. Ugh. Weird consistency and weird flavors. I am so not a good Asian. :-)

Cool tree. :-)

Day Trip to SF

These are from a long time ago as well. I apparently never ever post anything I take from my little point and shoot since I have probably a year's worth of stuff on there...

Anyhow- Chris and I left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa for a whole day a couple of months ago and went to San Francisco for a day long date. Best date ever. We had so much fun just sort of mosying around, and eating. Oh the eating was wonderful.

First we stoppeda t the Golden Gate and walked across it. (Okay, who am I kidding.... we walked halfway and then I wanted to walk back... it is a LONG bridge...)

Chris looks like a Tuffala tree... :)

It is SO high up... if you look over the side you start feeling a little dizzy. You honestly get a little vertigo.

Lia singing

I don't think I've ever uploaded these because they were too big to upload but I finally got around to it.

Lia used to love singing a song by Kelly Clarkson and would sing it lustily in the backseat whenever it came on. These are definitely not her very best renditions, but I love them because she has changed so much in the last year. She was so fat and babyish then!

In this one she does her most favorite past time of picking her nose... and wiping it on the arm rest. EW.

And the longest version I got from her...

Old movie from a while ago

This is from a LONG time ago- Davy was just crawling. I remember thinking it was hilarious how he refused to let go of his cups... he crawled in an uncomfortable, ackward position to find me rather than release his cups and use his hands to crawl.

I put Lia's hair in pigtails and Davy very sweetly asked for a hair do too. So I had to comply. Oh, and in the feet shot, the little pink toes are actually David's. :) We are raising well rounded boys over here! LOL.

That's not saying that Davy didn't enjoy his yogurt too... :)

We stopped for frozen yogurt on our way back to the car... hey! Don't judge- the kids actually only got one piece of candy from Pacific. Lia greatly enjoyed her yogurt... and another thing- the frozen yogurt at Swirl is fat free, and sugar free. So its HEALTHY actually...

The Great Morgani always has insane costumes...

I just had to take a picture of this girl because she was a Madame Alexander doll! The Swanson girl's had many of these as children. Still do actually. :)
