A Rug of Blocks

I was putting Davy down for his nap when Lia's shrill little voice cut through the silence. David nearly threw himself out of my arms in a panic when he heard the squawks and I stampeded downstairs to save Lia from whatever was disembowling her. I found her sitting next to her blocks, inordinately pleased with herself. I didn't have the heart to scold her as she told me in thrilling tones of her handiwork exhibited below.

Its a rug!

So very proud of herself.

The Artiste

I love how creative Lia has gotten lately, she must get it from Chris since I am pretty much the most uncreative person I know. :) She has taken to drawing and coloring and painting like a fish to water.

Intent on her artwork

I know I'm her mom and all, but are these not the CUTEST little faes in the whole wide world?

They are her happy faces. :) And those things on the sides are ears.

His "pained" look

Actually, I lied. I didn't throw them away, he did. I told him I needed to throw them away and the smart little boy took off to the garbage can and threw them in by himself. Sometimes it scares me how much he understands and can say...

His "please-pick-me-up-now" look

Doodles

Davy was playing with some beads on a string yesterday... yes, I realize how awful that sounds, but I was sitting right next to him and I immediately distracted him and threw said beads away after I took these pictures. :)

The chub is too cute to take!
