More

Betsey swimming around the wharf! I was so excited and proud to see how amazing she was as she swam like a fish around in the freezing water. :-)

Making graham cracker houses with leftover candy from Halloween :-)

 My gorgeous creation :-)

She was so happy to be playing with the big kids and included! :-)

Breakfast with Daddy on the weekend

Santa visited Ms. Benjamin's kindergarten class this year :-)

I had two of these antlers and put one pair on Lia who proceeded to dance like a sugar plum fairy in front of the mirror as she rearranged her borrowed antler finery. Davy put his on, then turned and ran at Chris yelling, "ANTLER FIGHT!" There lies the difference between boys and girls...

These were actually on Chris' mom's phone and I stole them off of hers so that I could have them since I don't actually have any pictures of right after Alex was born.

Rocking out with Christmas presents :-)

Wait... what? :-) They did this themselves and were so proud of themselves for how funny it was. :-)

Alex found someone's plate with leftover pizza and proceeded to try to demolish it.

The next three pictures were from a trip to the Santa Cruz Art Museum when they have the big trains all set up during Christmas. The kids absolutely loved it.

After my run sitting in the sun with Alex for a little bit :-)

We went to the beach on a very warm day and it was a nice glimpse into what summer might bring.

Lia was brushing her hair and then moved on to Alex, who, apparently loved it. :-)

Chris left for Daytona for six days and the kids had me put their big stuffed animals in his shirt so they could smell him. :-)

 Lia after her bath :-)

 Chris at Daytona :-)

Not sure why this picture is way down here :-)

Next Christmas there will be another baby Lock here! (and NOT from me! From Cindy, Baby Jake is getting a new brother or sister this summer :-) )

Bunch of randoms from iphone

Love the craziness here. The kids were just dressing up and this is what they came up with. :-)

My sweet Davy

Drinking one of Big Duck's famous smoothies!

After the day at the racetrack Davy fell asleep on the way to dinner clutching Daddy's trophy :-)

Birthday cake for the big five year old

One morning I went to use the bathroom and came back into the room to see this. Chris is such a good daddy. :-)

Evidenced even more by the following pictures. :-)

Now this is a man who is VERY secure in his own masculinity.

After I went running I let Alex sit on the bench. She chose instead to climb like a monkey. :-)

St Nicholas' Day!

Better start them young!

This makes me laugh every time I see it. :-)

Is it just me or does Lia look good with a flamenco on her head? :-)

Park

So I'm going to dump a ton of iphone pictures for the next few posts! :-)

The kids sliding down the slide on a blanket because just going normally isn't fast enough. :-)

This picture just makes me smile because of the perfect O of her curl. :-)

Quick Disneyland Post

One story that I will remember forever about Disneyland this time 'round was when we lost Panda. Davy had carefully and thoughtfully chosen a plush panda baby in Adventure Land and immediately became attached to the stuffy. He carried it around and just loved on it for the whole day. The next day we were walking through California Adventure and Davy dropped Panda. We realized it and grabbed him, making sure to tell Davy to hold onto him better...

That lasted all of a few seconds...

We got to the gate to leave the park and go back to Disneyland when we heard a shriek from David. He had lost Panda again. Chris immediately walked back the way we had come, looking for the lost bear. My heart sank as I saw him come around the corner after five or six minutes empty handed. Davy shrieked like someone had stabbed him in the heart and threw himself on the stroller, sobbing with utterly heartbroken wracking sobs. It was awful.

After about ten minutes of listening to heartrending sobs, Chris told Davy that he was sure that Panda was in the lost and found and he would go and find him. He then disappeared back into Adventure Land and ten minutes later came out with a ''new'' Panda. Chris thoughtfully told Davy that he was found in Lost and Found, and that they had even given him a bath. :-) The rest of the family set out for the Matterhorn ride, and after they left, Davy turned to me and patted his chest. "It's started again mom." He breathed. I asked him what and he looked up at me with still tear stained eyes and whispered, "My heart. It's started beating again."

Such a sweet little person, so sensitive and loving. But man. So forgetful too! :-)
